Brian McGinnis – Former First Responder and Founder, Serve & Protect Financial, Inc.

Since 2011, we have led the effort to assist law enforcement, and other special risk classifications
in the Florida Retirement System (FRS). 

Brian founded Serve & Protect Financial, Inc. in 2011 with a focus on assisting law enforcement and other special risk classifications in the Florida Retirement System (FRS). With his strong working knowledge of the Florida Retirement System, as well as, many Municipal Retirement Plans, Brian takes great pride in assisting First Responders with their financial planning anywhere in the State of Florida. Brian believes his success has come from the fact that he served his entire career as a First Responder. A special bond of trust is developed with other men and women who risk their lives everyday working in the same field.

Brian McGinnis is a retired State of Florida Deputy Sheriff with nearly 25 years of service. His career in law enforcement included areas of Corrections, Courts Security, Patrol, Division, Community Policing, Detective Division, SWAT, with his final 4 years of service as a Sergeant in the Patrol Division.

Brian’s financial designations include his 2-15, *Series 6, *Series 7 and his *Series 65. Brian also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Hodges University in Naples, Florida.
